Carnival week provides the great opportunity to engage with your local community, meet people, and have a great time. Watching people have fun is great, but joining in is even better.
During Carnival week thousands of people within our community get involved from schools, local clubs, businesses, societies charities, and more.
Here are suggestions on how to take part.
Enter the procession: Everyone loves a parade! It is great experience being involved entertaining the crowds that line the route from Wellington College to Morgan Recreation Ground Visit Entry forms section for details
Have a stall: The fete usually has over 80 stalls with a wide range of offers. We aim to showcase local good causes, businesses, which raise their profile and funds along the way. Visit Entry forms section for details.
Enter a competition: Prior to and during Carnival week, we run several competitions including Shop Window, Colourful Front Garden and Scarecrow. In the lead up Carnival, we run Junior Royalty selection and programme front Competition for primary school children. Winning is great, but there is also much to gain just by joining in. Visit Entry forms section for details.
Have a good time: Above all else, on the day and during the week there will be events and activities there just for your entertainment. Make a note in your diary to ensure you don’t miss out. The Carnival Programme will drop through your letterbox in June. It will contain all of the details you need to plan your week.
If you have any questions about participating, then please send an email to the Carnival Secretary.
We look forward to seeing you there and thank you for your support.
