This year we will have 2 Rounds:

Round 1

The first round will require the girls and boys to fill out an entry form and record a video. The form has 4 questions on it that will be discussed with the judges in round 2 (if successful). For the video, we would like the applicant to read or recite a short poem of their choice (or written themselves!).

Round 1 Entry forms can be downloaded from here or collected from Crowthorne Library or Fiona Povey Hair Salon.

The form and Video must be emailed to crowthorneroyaltycompetition@gmail.com by Saturday 30^th April 2022.

All contestants will receive a letter, either inviting them to take part in round 2 or explaining that unfortunately this year wasn’t their year.

Round 2

Round 2 will be Held at Fiona Povey Hair Salon on Sunday 22^nd May. This round will require the girls and boys to read or recite the short poem from their video and discuss with the judges about their poem and the questions they answered on the entry form.

There will also be a short activity for the children to do and show the judges a bit more of their personality.

The winners

A decision will be made on the day and the 3 lucky winners will lead the Carnival Procession in a chauffeur driven car after having hair and beauty treatments (if they wish) and a pre-procession reception. The Royalty Celebrity and her/his Attendants will also be given outfits to keep and presented with gifts to remember their day.

Conditions of entry:

1. You must live or attend school in Crowthorne

2. Be between 7 and 12 years old on Procession day 2 July 2022

3. You must be available for Round 2 on 22nd May and for Carnival week

4. A parent or guardian must sign the entry form and attend Round 2.
